OZO

Nokia, at an event in Los Angeles last Tuesday, has announced a virtual reality camera for the movie industry that can capture 360-degrees panorama videos. The camera is named, OZO and is a straight competition to the GoPro’s 360-degree camera.
News: The Tech Research
The OZO is a spherical camera and has eight lenses and eight microphones which can shoot in 360 degrees both sound and video. The video which is captured using this OZO can be played using compatible headsets i.e. VR headsets. Users can look around, while wearing the VR headset, to see the captured panaroma and hear the changes in sound too.

The President of Nokia Technologies, Ramzi Haidamus, said at the event:

We’re thrilled to introduce OZO to the content creation world, and to define a completely new category of virtual reality capture and playback solutions. OZO aims to advance the next wave of innovation in VR by putting powerful tools in the hands of professionals who will create amazing experiences for people around the world.

Nokia also informed that the camera will be built in Nokia’s home country, Finland and will launch later this year after the final testing of the camera.

Review: Micromax YU Yufit Fitness Band

Wearable tech is been around for quite some time now but it has not gained any attention from the common man. This may be because of high cost of this wearable which common man thinks as too much to buy. The wearable tech was brought to us by Nike, Apple and Fitbit. the cost of this was very high.

News: The Tech Research

But last year MI got market to surprise by launching a fitness band for just 999. This made common man think of a wearable tech. So now, we have a new smartphone venture in the market named YU. They launched their first phone YU Yureka last year and it was a success. you can check our review of Yu Yureka here. Then they came up with a new low budget phone with very good specs named YU Yuphoria. And now they launched there fitness band against the Mi fitness band.

This YU Yufit band is a fitness band with all the features which anyone wants in a fitness band plus to add on to it it has a OLED display which makes it superior over MI band. They also launched two companion apps with this Yufit band.

Features:
DISPLAY: Clear OLED Display for time, calories burnt, distance covered and task alerts. Switch device modes simply by touching the screen.

ACTIVITY TRACKER: Analyzes your daily activities and monitors your sleep quality.

WATER RESISTANCE: Be it rain or a shower, its water resistance capability allows you to take part in your daily activities without a worry.

HANDS FREEGet instant alerts, message and call notifications directly on your YUFIT Display for a tension free workout or quick viewing on the move.

FITNESS SLEEPSet alarm on YUFIT app and let soft band vibrations wake you from your post workout nap. Schedule 'do not disturb' slots on the app for the band and sleep easy.

SOSGet instant alerts, message and call notifications directly on your YUFIT Display for a tension free workout or quick viewing on the move.

Comes with two fitness apps, Yufit app and healthifyme. This yufit app has features such as Task Alerts and smart key feature which can be program to do some work for you. Other app i.e. healthifyme app Track your diet, monitors your weight trends and keeps a track of your calories burnt. Let's you choose from over 500 exercises and activities from the database.

Pros:
  • OLED Display
  • Real time Notification alert
  • Indian calories counter
  • Light weight build
  • Low cost
Cons:
  • Battery life(as compared to others in the market)
  • Less accurate readings

Now, the most important verdict. If we compare it with the competitor i.e. Mi band we can say that its just that Yufit band has a Display which displays time and other important things. We can sum up all the discussion in a line as that in some areas it’s better than MI band but  in some areas it lags far behind(less accurate readings)! So if you are a person who wants more accurate readings then go for MI band and if you want a more stylish band with display go for Yufit. Make your choice properly, both are worth buying. Thank You.

Net neutrality in India

net neutrality

The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) on Thursday issued their report on Net Neutrality in India. After a lot of protests and discussions against the Net Neutrality all over the internet, the result is in favor!

News: Check out how Internet Works

The Net Neutrality Committee said that the user rights on the Internet need to be ensured so that Telecom Service Providers/Internet Service Providers (TSPs/ISPs) do not restrict the ability of the user to send, receive, display, use, post any legal content, application or service on the Internet, or restrict any kind of lawful Internet activity or use.
In Their report they said that net neutrality is very important for the good internet experience and also stressed in their report on inheriting  some core principals of net neutrality.
DoT will be working with the TRAI (telecom regulatory of India) for incorporating some of the important principles of net neutrality and safeguarding of net neutrality.
The DoT report consist of more than 100 pages and is the clear notification from the government on net neutrality.
The international best practices along with core principles of net neutrality will help in formulating India specific net neutrality approach. India should take a rational approach and initiate action in making an objective policy, specific to the needs of our country. The timing for this is apt, taking into consideration the exponential growth of content and applications on the internet," noted the report.
More significantly, it addresses the question of over the top (OTT) services like WhatsApp that telecom operators allege have an unfair advantage because they are not licenced. But the report says "specific OTT communication services dealing with messaging should not be interfered with through regulatory instruments."
This debate on net neutrality in India was started in April this year. Thousands of web users posted against this on social media to show their displeasure at this idea of going away from net neutrality.
You can read full net neutrality report by DoT here.

New Horizon - NASA

Pluto from Horizon
View of Pluto from Horizon
New Horizons is an interplanetary space probe that was launched on January 19, 2006, as part of NASA New Frontier program.  The ambitious mission aimed to send a lightweight, cost-effective spacecraft to Pluto, later evolving into a Kuiper Belt Object mission named Pluto Kuiper Express.
The goal of the mission is to understand the formation of the Pluto system, the Kuiper Belt, and the transformation of the early Solar System. The spacecraft will study the atmospheres, surfaces, interiors and environments of Pluto and its moons. It will also study other objects in the Kuiper Belt.
New Horizons made a close flyby of Jupiter in Feb. 2007 in order to get a gravitational boost enroute to Pluto, shortening its cruise time by about 3 years.  The instruments were exercised successfully and returned exciting Jupiter science to earth, including images of a 200 mile high plume from the active Tvashtar volcano.

The moment, played out on Tuesday to the sound of The Final Countdown by the 1980s glam metal band Europe, marked a historic achievement for the US, which can now claim to be the only nation to have visited every planet in the classical solar system.
“It feels good,” said Alan Stern, lead scientist on the mission. “So many people put so much work into this around the country. We’ve completed the initial reconnaissance of the solar system, an endeavour started under President Kennedy.”
John Grunsfeld, head of Nasa’s science mission directorate, said that images beamed back from New Horizons on its approach showed Pluto to be an “extraordinarily interesting and complex world”.
“It’s just amazing. It’s truly a hallmark in human history,” he said of the encounter with Pluto. “It’s been an incredible voyage.”

Horizon
Horizon
Bristling with cameras and other instruments, the New Horizons probe was programmed to gather a wealth of images and data as it sped past Pluto and its five small moons, Charon, Styx, Nix, Hydra and Kerberos.

MyActivity.java(this file will be there in java folder)
AndroidManifest.xml
So open this three files from the project.

Step 6:

Go to activity_main.xml file
add lines of code and do the changes as shown in the image. (selected portion in the image)
activity_main.xml
activity_main.xml

Step 7:

Go to MyActivity.java add lines of code as shown in the image in onCreate function
In this, add the URL of a site which you want to convert it to an android app.
In my case, I have given my site URL i.e. shreeontechnology.blogspot.in
MyActivity.java
MyActivity.java

Step 8:

Same way go to AndroidManifest.xml and give permissions.
AndroidManifest.xml
AndroidManifest.xml

Step 9:

Open AVD manager from android studio i.e. Go to Tools>android>AVD manager
