The OZO is a spherical camera and has eight lenses and eight microphones which can shoot in 360 degrees both sound and video. The video which is captured using this OZO can be played using compatible headsets i.e. VR headsets. Users can look around, while wearing the VR headset, to see the captured panaroma and hear the changes in sound too.

The President of Nokia Technologies, Ramzi Haidamus, said at the event:

We’re thrilled to introduce OZO to the content creation world, and to define a completely new category of virtual reality capture and playback solutions. OZO aims to advance the next wave of innovation in VR by putting powerful tools in the hands of professionals who will create amazing experiences for people around the world.

Nokia also informed that the camera will be built in Nokia’s home country, Finland and will launch later this year after the final testing of the camera.
